Anyone who knows anyhting about this movie knows that the dvd is out of print and expensive as hell from private sellers. Well, I am finaly ready to be gouged and get a copy. Now I know that the dvd is listed as 1:85:1 widescreen, but I need to know for sure before I pay 40 dollars for a new copy. What I mean is that when I put this bad boy in my ps3 and turn on my widescreen TV there will be no black bars on the screen horizontal, vertical, or otherwise. I have bought a few "widescreen" edition dvds that have been less than described. Please let me know, I love this movie!

On a side not, what is the most you have payed for a out of print dvd? My record is "The Finale Programme" for 44.79. Some people say I am crazy for spending this much on a movie, but they spend that in 3 trips to the theatre to see some new hollywood POS. I don't have that problem.

Do you mean the Director's Cut from Mosaic UK?As you know, it was filmed in an open matte widescreen (1.85:1), but the transfer on that DVD is 1.33:1 (unmatted full frame) :(
