Ending

I watched on cable and didn't like it so I tuned out early.

Anyway, could someone please give a reader's digest of the ending? In particular:

What's the story on the plot twist and Dee's "psychic connection" or something with the Vamp?

Does the Vamp get killed, vanquished, or...what?

Dees ends up in hell or a living b&w nightmare, or something like that?

What ends up happening to "Jimmy"? Something about her taking Dee's advice to never publish what you believe and never believe what you publish? I tuned out pretty much after the coffee shop scene when Dees ragged on "Jimmy".

Thanks ahead for help!

From what I understood vampy boy killed everyone, Dees got all axy and mutilated some corpses, the next thing you know the police arrive and think he killed everyone. Jimmy "legs" used some irony and published that he was the killer but didn't believe it.

--The Vamp makes Dees drink his blood from his wrist, and this puts Dees into a trance-type thing where, according to the Vamp, he sees Hell. All the dead people in the airport rise up out of the mist as vampires, and Dees grabs a fire ax and goes after them. In reality, he is hacking up the already-dead Vamp victims. The cops rush in, see Dees with the ax and the bloodbath before them, and put 2 and 2 together (not knowing about Vamp-boy). They order Dees to drop the ax, Dees sees the cops as more vampires and goes after them, and the cops blow Dees away.

Does the Vamp get killed, vanquished, or...what?
--Vamp-boy turns back into his human form, and "Jimmy" watches from the airport window as he hops back in his plane and flies away.

Dees ends up in hell or a living b&w nightmare, or something like that?
--See above.

--As she watches the plane take off, she quotes Dees (you said it already), then turns back to the cops and the dead Dees. They ask who is this guy, and she goes, "His name's Richard Dees. We call him 'The Night Flier'". She looks at Dees and says "Sorry, Richard, you lose." and takes his picture. Next thing you see is the cover of the new Inside View, with dead Dees on the cover, and something about "star reporter lived double life" and the story is credited to "Jimmy". Her picture shows us her innocence from the beginning of the movie is gone.

Hope this helped!

I just watched it last night, and really enjoyed it. However, I couldn't determine if Katherine Blair really was Dwight's love from a former life? I really thought they looked kinda similar....anyone else noticed or have any answer??

Actually, it seems more like Ellen Sarch, wife of Ray Sarch, was more or less supposed to be something along those lines. If you remember the photo that Dwight pulled out of Renfield's "glove box" in the plain, it showed Renfield and a lady who looked like a younger version of the old lady. Remember how she got all mooney-eyed over Renfield, and she went to the beauty shop and got all dolled up for him? Especially the hair--it looked exactly like the old photos. I think that's why Renfield killed her so peacefully, as opposed to her hubby, whose head winds up across the room from his body. Perhaps she was his former love, but I saw no connection to Renfield and Katherine, other than them seeing each other at the airport.
Of course, that's just IMHO (in my humble opinion).

Yeah, that also makes a lot of sense. Though I would like to think that it was Katherine that was his love, and that it all was some sort of plan to get Dees down...;)

So's you know, there's a sequel in the works. It's in the very early stages at the moment, but it's coming. Trust me. I've read the script and it's not bad. Not great, but better than the first movie.

You know what's funny? Every time I see someone post here that they've read the script/already seen whatever movie-that-looks-or-sounds-dumb-or-awful before its scheduled release, they ALWAYS, ALWAYS proclaim it good. Almost like it was their job to say that.

Isn't that funny?

Aw h3ll, it IS funny.
