whatever happened to Julie Entwisle?

I thought she was pretty good in this film. Yet, she only made three movies. Where did she go?

reply

I don't know but I would love to. She was so beautiful and I'm sure she still is.

Actually, Julie only appears in one movie. She was cut out of IN AND OUT, and SLICE was halted before it began shooting.

After NIGHT FLIER, Julie married the director, Mark Pavia, and moved to L.A. They divorced several years later, and she now lives in NY. She recently had a baby with a guy who had a crush on her in high school.

Thanks for the information. A long time ago, I asked the very same question about Julie Entwisle. She seemed capable and pretty enough. But let me say that it happens all the time in Hollywood. A promising and attractive aspiring actor or actress wannabee shows up in Hollywood and actually does a few small film parts and/or television. Then for whatever personal reason, they disappear off the Hollywood radar. For most of these young actors it's one of the most common reasons.

1) Hollywood (Los Angeles) isn't all that it's cut out to be. It's interesting to experience but breaking into the movie/television business is very hard and very competitive. It can be exhausting physically, mentally, psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually.

2) Related to No. 1. Homesickness. After experiencing the Hollywood 'thing' for a short while, it's time to go home.

3) Marriage. This actually happens a lot to young actresses who do a few film parts and possibly television. Some well-to-do guy in the film and tv studios, possibly an executive or director, becomes attracted to them and proposes marriage. Often the end result of marriage is that these young ladies drop out of acting to become genteel housewifes to these Hollywood studio rich guys and end up living in Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Westside LA, the wealthier neighborhoods of the San Fernando Valley.

4) Change of careers. This is often related to No. 1 and 2. After doing the acting gig for a while, either it's not what it's cut out to be or the actor grows weary or disillusioned, or jaded. Some of these actors and actresses have willingly left the acting business to enter real estate, communications, teaching, etc. Sometimes it's voluntary early retirement and career change, especially for the women as they age. Sometimes an acting career peters out and it's time to do something else.
