Did Anyone Else Think.......

Did anyone else feel that if this great flick wasn't written by the father of horror novels and was written by some regular ol' joe, that they could've slapped "Tales From The Crypt Presents" in front of the title and it wouldn't seem ridiculous? I mean, watch the classic "Tales From The Crypt" series and watch the two flicks that we're spawned from it{"Tales From The Crypt Presents Demon Knight" and "Tales From The Crypt Presntes Bordello Of Blood"} and it seems like a great trilogy. Originally, Tales From The Crypt had a third film ready for lift off, "Fat Tuesday", but because of the so called "bomb" of "Bordello Of Blood", it was never made. But, i feel that this had alot of qualities that "Tales From The Crypt" had. It has the dark humor, the unlikeable, but charismatic, main character, and the anti-Hollywood ending. If it had just a bit more blood and gore it would've been a perfect match. "Tales From The Crypt" gave another film called "Ritual" but it wasn't what it used to be. It didn't have the cryptkeeper for one, plus the dark humor was all gone. If King didn't write the story, they could've put the cryptkeeper in the prologue and epilogue and it wouldn't seem out of place. Of course this is just one man's opinion. Does anyone else feel the same?
