The perfect casting for Pendergast

I know this has been discussed before, but the thread got off topic. Also, I've had in mind the perfect actor for Pendergast for a long time, but I couldn't think of his name or remember the movies in which I've seen him.

Anyhow, I finally remembered where I had seen him (The Untouchables), and he would be perfect. The one and only actor to play Pendergast would be: Billy Drago http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0236711/?ref_=tt_cl_t9.

C'Mon..

Julian Sands folks.

Paul Bettany, IMHO...

I think he'd be a great choice as well. Think he has the closest look to the ones mentioned here at least. If not for time the authors have stated their ideal casting would have been a young Christopher Walken. And Paul Bettany is the closest to that here, plus he is a good actor and could do subdued upper class person that can get violent.

How about James Marsters ("Spike" from "Buffy" and "Angel")? He can do aloof (snotty) real well and is used to the platinum white hair. He is also an under-appreciated great actor.

My friend has been saying that since she saw him in the Da Vinci Code. He looks the part naturally.

Those are all good. I see Michael Fassbender, though (the robot guy from Prometheus), especially with his hair done like it was in that movie. When I'm reading the books, though, his voice sounds like Kevin Spacey in House of Cards, by way of Tom Hanks haha.

How about William Fichtner. I think he has the looks for the role and intimidating presence too.

William Fichtner played a sort of satirised, exaggerated Pendergast in the Danny DeVito movie "What's the Worst that Could Happen?" As soon as I saw it, I wondered if he was making a bid for the role.

I remember him from the soap As the World Turns!
