2 boys skipping school
That part is so irrelevant to the movie, it's just weird!
shareThe boys are killed in the book, making them relevant to the story about something dangerous in the museum. By changing this element in the film, it does render their inclusion sort of pointless.

Beyond pointless it's just dumb. Two boys missing from home and school well until the next day! These are elementary school kids.
