Him lying was the most honest thing done
what I found funny is that the family is tearing itself apart, and the boy is supposed to be the hero trying to get them all together, and yet in spite of all betrayals and such, people are upset about the kid lying. They all gang up on him for lying when in truth he was the most honest one of them all. It's tragic but hilarious.
