Mekhi starred as Lem in Soul Food the movie
Darrin starred as Lem in Soul Food the TV show

Mekhi, he's simply a better actor and portrayed the character better. Darrin's good, but Mekhi was more believeable.

Mekhi Phifer is smoking hot!!! He's the one I went away from this movie remembering.

Darrin was better. I didn't even remember Mekhi was in the movie. Lem was really a small role in the movie, but in the series the character was a lot more significant. Maybe i'm biased b/c I just don't like Mekhi anyway.

I dont find Mekhi Phifer that attractive and especially not in Soul Food. He looks better now

I like darrin better as lem because he is my favorite actor!!

Darrin is phoine! Darrin + Lem's character = sexy to the 90th power. He played Lem well.

Mehki looks a helluva lot better now than he did back in the day. Age and weight has worked in his favor. He played his bit part well, too.

I always laughed a little bit when Darrin was supposed to so hard with those perfectly arched eyebrows
