Brandon Hammond gave such a brilliant performance

Every time I watch this film, I am more and more impressed with Brandon's performance. Among an adult cast of far more seasoned actors, this CHILD really stole the show. I never once felt as though he was acting and the best scene in the film, IMO, is when Ahmad (Brandon) confronts the family about all of the drama they've allowed to come between them. I just melt right along with him when with tears in his eyes, he says, "Ya'll messed up the family! Can't you see that?"

This is one of the finest performances I've ever seen from a child actor and I hope we will see Brandon on screen as an adult, as well. He was just FANTASTIC.
