The ghost ship Titanic arrives at the NYC port. Ghost Jack is on a mission to get back at Rose for letting him freeze to death. With hundreds of fellow ghost travellers he wreaks havoc on NYC until he tracks down Rose for a final reckoning.
Sounds awesome but to make it even better how about a shared universe with Ghostbusters? Melissa McCarthy steps in saving the day against evil Ghost Jack.
shareI don't like the supernatural theme in a movie like Titanic. I would have rather they did a sequel and made it more reality based. Like having Jack survive the cold waters and even though Rose let him go, he wasn't dead. Jack managed to swim back to NYC harbor and connect with Rose again in NYC

I know you don't like the supernatural aspect, but how about a sci-fi themed sequel where a later ship picked up Jack's frozen corpsicle and buried him in Nova Scotia with other Titanic victims. Decades later, some ghoulish med school nerds dig up his body and cloned him in a new process that enables the clone to retain the memories of the DNA donor. Jack attacks and kills the med school student (and runs amuck through the dorm), then makes his way back to the U.S. to avenge his cold, painful, lonely, watery death where he finds that Rose died peacefully warm in her bed the year before.
Never mind, that sucks.
Throw in some predators and aliens, too.
