Much better than it has any right to be.

When I first saw this movie in 1999, I can remember thinking that it was a horrible waste of time, talent, and money. However, after having just watched the film a second time, I must say that it holds up a lot better than most movies through time. After the second viewing I was left actually thinking that this movie was a fun ride and the effects were actually quite seamless and advanced for such a critically maligned picture.

I would have to disagree with Ms. Curtis on her assertion that this is the worst project that she has been involved with. Now, I find it quite a shame that this movie didn't take off and solidify her status as an action movie heroine further as I thought she was wonderful in this movie.

The worst part of the whole movie for me was the wretched performance of Donald Sutherland. Even the Baldwin brother seemed more accomplished in this film and had a hell of a lot more charisma.

Overall, I would have to say that this movie deserves a second viewing and an appreciation for being a fun, energetic, and, at times, horrifying movie that was ahead of its time.
