Can a nice guy like Melvin kill people?

If in real life, i don't think a guy like the character can kill as a job.

Of course they can.

Some of the nicest people are the ones that you really have to watch out for. People like that could do 'things' that are considered out of character and get away with it because of that 'nice mentality'. No one every suspects them.

I'm a really nice person (angelic even) and if I were to commit any type of crime, I'm sure I'd have wonderful character witnesses that will refute what I'm accused of if there's little to no proof that I did it. I've even been told by others that I would 'never do something like that' and let me tell you... I've thought about it and I probably would get away with it because I'm considered sweet and adorable. But everyone has a dark side.

*** However, I've never committed any crimes!*** Or have I;)

Of course he can, they said he had killed over a 100 people allready,so he obviously could do it.

Sure we can

reply

Of course. Judging from what I've read or heard about some of the most proilific serail killers, their friends and neighbors always said "I can't beleive he'd do such a thing, he was such a sweet, caring guy. He always said hello when he was walking his dog." You never hear someone say "he was a raving lunatic, I feared for my life! I was just waiting for the chainsaw to come ripping through the wall!"

Close only counts with horseshoes, hand grenades, and thermo-nuclear weapons.

LOL! I agree with everyone else. Serial killers like Ted Bundy,BTK or even that psycho who devoured flesh. I saw a documentary with him and he said ,"Human flesh tastes like some part of a pig". Or something like that.

Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful.

And the people that he was hired to kill might of been bad people.

Like they were a drug dealer, or gun runner. (kind of the "doing the world a service mentallity")

reply

Drug dealer isn't necessarily bad.

Gun runner is just Nic Cage in Lord Of War. Was he really bad, or just doing a job that was going to be done by someone anyway?

It wasn't a serious movie by any means. Besides, Melvin was like Martin Blank in Grosse Pointe Blank. Of course, both movies are similar if you think about it (Both are comedies, though Big Hit is more of an action comedy), protagonist who happens to be a hitman. Besides, neither guy was the type who would kill an innocent person.

I'm kind of a big deal. People know me.

reply

Probably. There's been more than a few charismatic "Nice" Killers in movies. David Bowies friendly & sociable hired killer in "Into The Night" was delightful & charming and very likable even when he had the gun in Jeff Goldblums mouth.
