Alan Cumming

I think he was my favorite part of the movie - chatting up and flirting with Dr. Bill.

reply

The only performance that stood out from the somnambulistic acting, of the rest of the movie characters.

reply

Holy hell. I went 42 years without ever having heard the word "somnambulistic" and I suspect I'll go another 42 years before ever hearing it again.

reply

Yeah, and it's a condition, not an adjective, so it's an odd way to use it when it isn't literal. I suspect the poster forced that 5 dollar word in intentionally.

reply

his scene was great

reply

When the movie first came out in theaters for a moment I thought it was actor Paul Reubens (aka Pee Wee Herman) who had played the part, not realizing until the end credits it was Alan Cumming (a name Terry Southern would be proud of).

reply

Paul Reubens’ casting would have been interesting given his real-life sex scandal.

reply

I liked him too, although I hardly recognized him.

reply

you're not a five-oh , are you ?

reply

Alan Cumming used to be the host of Masterpiece Theater.
