Smoking pot
Was it common in real life for people in high society in the 1990s to smoke pot like the main characters in the film? Up until it became more legal and mainstream in the late 2000s, I thought marijuana usage was seen as something that only hippies, slackers, thugs, and pseudo-intellectuals did, so it is surprising that a medical doctor at that time would smoke seemingly regularly, unless usage was more common than history and media portray.
