So, was any reason every given as to why this and so many other awesome Dreamworks movies (Spirit, Road to El Dorado, ect) have not yet been released on blu-ray? Are there plans for a future release, or are they just not going to release them at all?
I can't even watch my DVD versions on my modern TV because the bad quality drives me crazy!
My first, uneducated guess is that it's because Jeffrey Katzenberg has little to no faith in the value of 2D animation nowadays.
Actually, if I remember correctly, Paramount owns the distributing rights for most of the Dreamworks animated movies, and for some reason they are really bad at releasing older movies on to Blu-ray quickly.
It could be either of these reasons, or none of them. Either way, it's really stupid; there are plenty of people who want these movies on Blu-ray, and they would look so good...
