What's your favourite scene or quote?

i jus love this movie, but would like to know if any of u have a fave scene or quote from the film?

When Robbie plays Julia the song he wrote about Linda-

"oh somebody kill me please, somebody kill me please, i'm on my knees pretty, pretty please, kill me...i want to die...put a bullet in my heeeeeeeaaaad!"

that bit always makes me laugh...that and any of the scenes with Steve Buscemi in..."hey, wedding singer...aooooooooooooooohhhh! (falls and breaks glass).

Mine's in the same part, but when Jon Lovits says, "He's losing his mind...and I'm reaping ALL the benefits!"

reply

You gotta admit, when Jon Lovitz says, "Good luck finding a DJ who can move and shake like this!" and he shimmies his shoulders for effect. LOL. Classic.

reply

Haha and then when he starts backing away, he adds in one more little shoulder shake just to heighten the effect. Makes my day anytime I see it.

And did we tell you the name of the game, boy?

That was just about the most hilarious moment of the movie, LOL. From seriously in love to absolute hate.

reply

When Sammie tells Robbie at the bar, "What I really want is someone to hold me and tell me that everything is going to be alright"

Can anyone please tell me the name of that song playing in the background in that scene? Much Appreciated.

reply

The song in the bar is Love My Way by The Psychedelic Furs, here is the link to the video on You Tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-P09gm_I5RI

reply

I loved Jon Lovitz saying "He`s losing his mind...and I`m reaping all the benefits!" I thought that was going to figure more in the plot.

reply

when he says cindy and ...forgot guys name are newlyweds WHOOPADEEDOO!!!!!!!!!!i love that line me and my boyfriend say it all the time

reply

I also like Love Stinks and the part where the little kid comes out and says "Hey Linda, you're a b*tch!!!!!!I love those parts!!!

reply

i like a lot of scenes but the one line that never seems to leave my head is... uhm, let me as you guys a question:

1. Is it true you're going to end up in a mental institution?

^_^

reply

Cuckoo's nest! cuckoo's nest! lol!

reply

My favorite scene is when the old lady is rapping and then I like the scene when Robbie sings julia the song he wrote. I really like that whole plane scene all together when they everybody on the plane get at Julia's fiance for being obnoxious jerk.

reply

amazing song and the best part of the movie. sandler's screaming is brilliant!

reply

I agree, that whole scene is hilarious. From when Jon Lovitz was singing ladies night to when he left saying 'he's losing his mind...and i'm reaping all the benefits.' Best part of the movie!

Deathproof right?

Theres too many funny moments in this film - its one of my favourite romcoms, but the one that has me in hysterics is

"Everybody spread the word, I live in my sisters basement!" LMAO

"I can't think of anything more exhilarating than a trip to London."

reply

you forgot to mention the earlier part

"but it all was bvllshet it was a goddamn joke, and when i think of you linda, I hope you fvcking choke"

that was a really, really funny scene, I just laugh helplessly

reply

Guy: "Hey, buddy! I'm not paying you to hear your thoughts on life!"
Robbie: "Well I have the microphone and you don't...SO YOU WILL LISTEN TO EVERY DAMN WORD I SAY!!!"

I fart a lot.

reply

I loved any scene with Robbie being kind and sweet, such as when he helped the drunk kid at the first wedding, or when he told his nephews that it wasn`t nice of them to deface Linda`s photo even though he was angry at her.

However I also loved when he borrowed Sammy`s credit card to pay for the plane ticket. Sammy asked if Robbie would pay him back, and Robbie said, "No, but if you don`t give it to me I`m gonna tell everyone what you said in the bar."

reply

Christine
my favorite part was when the drunk idoit says i like her to goerge and not knowing it was a guy

reply

My favorite scene is the "Love Stinks" scene. How Sandler tries to dump his anger and despair onto a couple who has just been married is hilarious. While he is singing and looks the couple right in the eyes and says, "I hate you" is GOLD.

reply

Oh yea! That part is funny as s*&$!

reply

the wedding singer is my favourite film in the whole world lol.. ive thought about that question myself but the film is full of so many great lines its hard to tell.

"you were giving them forks, people cant eat without forks" lol i like that.

reply

reply

I also love the scene with Robbie`s nephews asking if it`s true he`s going to a mental institution, and he asks who told them that. The older boy says, "Everyone`s been saying that." I just loved his expression. That actor is great!

reply

"They were cones!"

reply

"Man, you're fiancee left you standing at the altar on your wedding day...that's so cold!"

"You know, my parents died in a car accident when I was 8 years old. Perhaps you'd like to talk about that."

"Why would we want to talk about that?"

"I don't know."

reply

"Hey...Flock of Seagulls...I need to get on that plane."

reply

yep...cracked me up too!!!

reply

Either when robbie sings "Somebody kill me please" or at the end when he sings "Grow old with you" and he gets drew barrymore.....it almost makes me wanna cry...lol

i basically like it whenever sandler sings...

ohh yeah! and the part when the old lady puts the meatballs in his hands

*Stop Reading My Signature*

reply

When the old lady (Rosie) says:

"Before I got married, I wasn't a virgin. I had already had intercourse with 8 men. That was a lot back then. That would be like 200 today!"

reply

i like the scene where they were dancing with the kids, and he puts the girl's hands on his butt.

reply

"Get out of my Van Halen T-shirt before you jinx the band and they split up!"

reply

"We are living in a material world and I am a material girl... or boy."

We were somewhere around Barstow when the drugs began to take hold

reply

I heard about your wedding man, you must have felt like S%#@!

no, it felt great! my parents died when i was ten, do you wanna talk about that?

why would i wanna talk about that?

i dunno!

LMAO!

Yeah...I love that quote too.... something like, "See, Billy Idol gets it...why doesn't she get it?"

reply

you want to be like Fonzie, don't you...

reply

You know it's funny. Some of us will never ever find true love. Take, for instance, me. And I'm pretty sure that guy right there. And that lady with the sideburns. And basically everybody at table nine.
I love this movie.. it is deffinately one of Adam Sandlers Best

reply

"Why can't be more more like ur brother? I mean Harold would never beat up his landlord?" Oops!! I love that oops dropped in there its classic!!!

reply

I like the song best also but,my second favorite is the scene where Billy Idol is on the Airplane Intercom and says " They let the first class passengers do whatever the hell they want."

reply

When Robbie tries to sing "Holiday" at Cindy and Scott's wedding even though he's so depressed about Linda. "Everybody spread the word...I live in my sister's basement!" Then the monologue: "Some of us will never find true love...me, fatty, sideburns lady, the mutants at table 9..." It's hilarious! Then when he sings "Love Stinks" and that guy starts to attack Robbie and he keeps on singing: "LOVE STINKS! LOVE STINKS!" That whole scene is so freakin' funny!

reply

i love that part too...especially since george is still way into backup vocals with his ooh yeah ooh yeahs

reply

yeah it was the best. lol.
