This should have been made now but then again

Sandler and Barrymore wouldn't have done it

I mean in theory you could make a film about 1995 but the 80's were better

I think releasing this in 98 was genius because anyone that was a teen in 1980's and now in their 20's can go back and relive the magic of music and the moments.

So many pop culture references in The Wedding Singer that just makes you all warm and fuzzy inside.

Who would u prefer to do it if u don't mind me asking alot of people said they'd like an updated version with Robert Pattison and Kristen Stewert or Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner or Zan Efron and Vanessa hudgens

I wouldn't mind Taylor swift and Taylor Lautner or Robert and Kristen
Dunno about Efron/hudgens though

No! No! No! To all those pairings! It should be like this one! An actor who usually does silly comedies, taking on a romantic role, who maybe isn't the typical hottie but still attractive and the girl should be someone who isn't overly hot but is pretty and sweet so you'd buy that he gets infatuated with her and that she could be taken advantage of by the other guy! The people on your list are far too overly attractive to fit these roles! They'd fit the Glenn and Linda roles better!

Don't worry, dude, the '90s camp' comedy will be here soon enough. Every generation loves to go back and lampoon their childhood.

Me too! I was born in 1980 so I was a tween and teen in the 90's. I was a senior in high school when this movie was released in theaters. I was a Sandler fan in high school. I had his first 3 Cd's and saw all of his movies then. My friends still talk about how they had to listen to his cd's when they went sonewhere with me in my car. I would also drag them to the movies when he had a new movie out too. I saw The Wedding Singer in theaters with my best friend and 2 other friends. I got married in November of 1998 when I was 18 1/2 and my friends wanted to have one last girls night out before I got married. It worked out perfectly that The Waterboy was in theaters at that time. So, of course we went to the see it at the movies! The Wedding Singer is my favorite Sandler movie but Happy Gilmore is a close 2nd. Yep, I definitely miss the 90's. Good times. Good times. Now I feel like crying. Geez, shouldn't time machines have been invented already? I would sooo travel back to the 90's when life was fun whenever I need a break from adulthood. *sigh*
