That Billy Idol Cameo.....

Was cringe worthy and so out of place. Dumb IMO. Ok so the director had a man crush on Idol, he should have rethought that scene.

I thought it was pretty funny. Obviously he looked much older than he did back then, but the movie is a bit silly, so why not?

Maybe he was the only living 80s rock star they could afford?

reply

I liked it.
It was one of the ways I got to know Billy, I didnt know him before nor was he from my generation.

Totally disagree with this. It fit within the context of the film but most of all, I personally think the most hilarious scene is when the one lady in First Class asks so naively, "What's the mile-high club?" and Billy Idol looks at her and smiles. To this day, I still crack up at that.

I disagree and I thought one of the funniest parts of the movie was the grand meeting in First Class when the woman asked, "What's the mile-high club?" and Billy Idol just turns to her and smiles! Still cracks me up to this day.

I think it was sorta meant to be corny.
