Just because the sequels were bad. Its still horrible nonsense. George messed up. Not only was arguably the best of the originals not made by him in any meaningful way. ANH was a team collaboration the others helped fix for George
Not saying he isnt amazing. but I mean look at what Jackson did to the hobbit vs LOTR. all the greats can fall and lose their way especially when they are surrounded by yes men and never checked
