Quentin gets Leaven to look at the numbers. If he hadn't they might not have made any progress at all.

I think they could have come to that conclusion without him.

Maaaybe. The fact remains Quentin's one of the more useful ones for the first half of the film, given that a lot of them are a net negative.

Huh? We're both male, that's about all.

I'm only interested in things being correct, as a rule. Not defending a fictional character, whatever the point of that would be.
