Gruesome & Fun

An over the top horror flick of sorts. Robert Carlyle turned in one of his finest performances. Watch his acting...the subtlest of moves, the body motions, the tone of voice, the quick movements, the walk. Esp. when he's exhibiting his crazy side.

Guy Pearce...hubba hubba. A young Guy Pearce with piercing blue eyes, also turns in a sterling performance. One of the best actors around.

Carlyle and Pearce "feed" off each other in their scenes together. Sparring with words or tools, they are a great match.

The rest of the cast couldn't be better.

A really fun romp through the old west, horror style. Okay, it's gruesome. Really gruesome. So gruesome that it's intentionally over the top gruesome. So if that bothers you, this isn't for you.

As for me, I loved it. I just love seeing excellent actors turn in fine performances and who are loving the roles they are playing.
