Which version has the Joe Bob Briggs?

There's three versions out of this movie... Want to make sure I buy the one with it

The 2004 Guilty Pleasures release has the Joe Bob commentary. The link to the Amazon listing is below, but the photo on the page looks to be wrong. My copy has the same cover art as on the Amazon listing, but also contains a blue circle on the lower left front cover with yellow text stating, "Includes special Joe Bob Briggs comedy commentary."

As of this writing, there are a number of copies listed on eBay that display the cover correctly, and the UPC code is 631595040456, to help you search for a copy of the correct edition.

The recent Cinema Epoch Blu-ray contains three commentaries but, unfortunately, not the Joe Bob comedy commentary (the Cinema Epoch "Special Edition" DVD does not have any commentary, but has interesting interviews with Robert Z'Dar, Gerald Okamura, and Peter Palian).

Also, FYI, the Guilty Pleasures disc is formatted to 4x3 open matte, and the picture quality is not quite as good as the Cinema Epoch DVD (especially when enlarged to proper widescreen format), which is in 16x9 widescreen. The Guilty Pleasures disc also contains a few trailers (but not for Samurai Cop) and a different interview with Robert Z'Dar than the one on the CE disc. I bought and decided to keep both to have all the goodies and the superior PQ of the CE disc.

Lastly, while I have found every other Joe Bob commentary I have listened to (Hell's Angels '69, The Incredibly Strange Creatures, Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter, and Run, Angel, Run!) immensely entertaining, informative, and often side-splittingly funny, I was pretty disappointed in his Samurai Cop commentary. It just wasn't as funny or as spirited as the others, and he never even mentions the horrible wig on "Matt Hannon," an unforgivable omission. Sorry, Joe Bob.
