i loved this show as a kid and would probably still love it now if it was still on!

It always changed for me. I liked Cyril at best first cause I always had a thing for the baddies. Later it was Bert, then switched to Ralph and Melissa when they were sort of pushed out of the spotlight altogether by Bentley starting 1989. The series had a lot of memorable characters.

Oh I just checked it: Cyril apears earlier than Monty, maybe he was the paragon for the character of Montgormery Burns.
Imagine a little Cyril beside Monty's leg, both smoking a cigarre and with a cylinder on their heads: A capitalist and his capitalistic pet.

My favorite? For some weird reason I can not begin to explain, Sophia. Then Cyril, then Cedric, then Bert, then the Pigs, then Melissa, Ralph, and Schaffer tie.
