A DVD re-release would be great....

I'm familiar with the fact that this movie is often in bargain bins, and not so familiar with how studios re-release movies with new features, however if for any reason Universal were to re-release this movie on DVD, it certainly would be great to see the blooper reel on the special features, considering it was only on the VHS release. Also, seeing as how Zucker has done more than a couple of commentaries, I'm sure he'd be willing to record one for this film. I would imagine Parker and Stone are too busy with "South Park" to be bothered with doing a commentary of their own. Those are my suggestions, anyway...

I think it's time for a petition to get this released on blu-ray with commentary!! ANY commentary will do!!! ;)

Agreed!

I think David Zucker's commentary would be enough. Trey and Matt wouldn't do it because they don't like commentaries, hearing them, and don't have a lot to say. That's why their commentaries on the South Park DVDs are so short.

I just listened to their commentary on the first episode of South Park. They had a lot to say about that, in fact I thought to myself at the time that Trey Parker is always so informative and has a lot to talk about...for the most part. I suppose Cannibal: The Musical would be an exception, though he does have a lot to say in that one too...it just so happens that he's drinking heavily during it and about halfway through he's too drunk to say much of anything.

So I hear Dads dead, hey is that eggnog?

Heard the ones after that?

They were basically struggling for content after the first episode.

Stuff like this reminds me of "Movie Poop Shoot.com" from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

uk release has extra features, blooper reel and music video, but no commentary

Yes. Why is this and Team America not on bluray yet???

reply

They should re-release this in theaters in 3D, Lucas style...

Is it called the fhagina edition?

That's not a gay joke.

reply

No, it's an Australian joke.

Hopefully the Bluray will feature a lot of new goodies and not just recycle the same stuff on the DVD.
