Gwyneth Paltrow

Sweet Mary Mother of God, this woman was stunning in this movie. Her hair and facial features were gorgeous and that accent screamed sex. I really like this movie, but Gwyn made it even better every time she came on screen, showing off her hotness.

Loved her in this movie.

If I remember correctly she copped a lot of flak after taking away Best Actress for Viola when many thought Cate Blanchett should have received it for Elizabeth.

Put all that aside. IMO she is just brilliant in this, her finest role thus far and it's just impossible for me (personally) to imagine any one else in the part. Whether it's playing Viola, Thomas Kent or just standing quietly on stage as Juliet towards the end (adoring being on the stage playing the part she was destined to), I agree with you...simply stunning!

Let me just add that Joseph Fiennes complemented her magnificently.

I personally didn't feel Blanchette's performance was in any way superior to Paltrow's. Viola was a much more compelling character overall. I think that Paltrow's remarkable chemistry with Fiennes along with the script put this film over the top.

Oh, Joseph Fiennes had marvelous chemistry with Gwyneth. It's one of the reasons I really like the movie. This is better than the horrid rom coms today because the main actors have natural chemistry. very believable.

I thought she was kind of plain looking.
