Never Seen It. Recommend?

When I was a teenager blossoming into a beautiful movie buff, I would often go to my local public library to check out DVDs. I saw a lot of classics and Oscar-winning movies during this time, but I never got around to checking out this one

It's been many years since that time. I have only heard negative opinions about this movie. How it didn't deserve an Oscar, how Gwyneth Paltrow didn't deserve an Oscar, how Ben Affleck sucks, etc.

Tbh I have no desire to watch it for any reason other than the negativity towards it. That intrigues me

I liked it. It's cute and original.

People bash it because it didn't deserve to win Best Picture (it certainly didn't - can't express that enough). But it's enjoyable if you look past it all.

It's a very good movie - clever and witty, great to look at and full of excellent performances, it's very entertaining.

I just find it frustrating because it's not as good as it could have been. If there had been any real passion in the central romance it might have been a genuinely great film, and well. It's very good.

I’m a movie buff. I watched this once and never again. Film isn’t in my top ten favories of its release year. If you can see it for free, do so, but spend no money on it. If you like Much Ado About Nothing, the Branaugh film, it has a sinilar mood.
