Was no one else really bothered by this?
I'm talking about Miles hiring a hit-man to kill Marylin. It puts a very nasty light on the protagonist and makes it very hard to view him with sympathy. Of course Marylin returned the favor but at least she had the excuse that Miles tried to have her killed.
