shareIt's left ambiguous as to whether he did some of the killing presented in the film or not. We can conclude that large parts were all made up in his head - the whole sequence from the ATM to him hiding in the building is pure fantasy, as is, I suspect, him killing the fleeing hooker by dropping a chainsaw on her from many flights of stairs. That's all too implausible. However the scene in which he meets the realtor at Paul Allen's place and she reacts very coldly and suspiciously to him, is there to make us doubt it was all imagined inside Bateman's head, by suggesting she is aware there was evidence of his crimes before she cleaned up Paul's place.
