What if Bryan Singer's X-MEN and Sam Raimi's SPIDER-MAN Were in the SAME UNIVERSE?

Sam Raimi's Spider-Man and Bryan Singer's X-Men really changed superhero movies forever by legitimizing them in the eyes of both Hollywood and the general public.

Nowadays with the MCU, interconnected universes aren't uncommon at all, but back in the early 2000s it was unheard of. So what if there was an interconnected universe between X-Men and Spider-Man?

As much as I dislike Bryan Singer, I would've loved that. I recall there being copyright issues or something at the time, but everyone who was into Spider-Man 2002 wanted this to happen.

It's weird how rights issues are. The Spider-Man cartoon that tied into the Raimi movies had Michael Clark Duncan's Kingpin in it. But that couldn't happen on film.

Why Marvel Studios Can Reference Spider-Man In X-Men '97 Without Sony's Permission

Marvel has teased the existence of Spider-Man in X-Men '97. Even though Sony owns the rights, Marvel can still use him thanks to one simple rule.

X-Men 97 is a continuation of the 90s cartoon. Spider-Man '94 had several cameos. I loved them all. Would love that Spider-Man also gets a Season 6.

reply

True, very weird.
