The end of the century and the hype surrounding it is now long past. A good piece of nostalgia though about the times. Not often a new century comes around. Only once every 100 years.

It's one of the only films that uses the turn of the century in it's storyline as I recall, Boiler Room references the dot.com crash also.

It wasn't just a new century, it was also a new millennium. Now that only comes around every one thousand years.

Then any period piece should be outdated.
