Arnolds best performance he was underrated in this film the critics really gave a hacking but i thought it was gd 2 see him try something different and not go out gun blazing and he played a human being at the end of the film his character believes in the human spirit rather than get all macho a great film
shareI agree it was really the only time Ahnold played something of a flawed character who lost his faith but redeemed himself and not a macho alpha male full of silly catchphrases and winking at the camera while driving a motorcycle 80 miles an hour with one hand and shooting bad guys while holding a machine gun in the other hand. I also think it was the only Ahnold film (Terminator doesn't count, since he was a machine) that he dies in the end. As far as underrated Schwarzeneggar films go, this is his best acting performance.
shareI can't speak for his acting, as it has been years since I've seen the movie but I like that they made him look like an every-man and convincingly pulled it off.
That probably marks the only time they were able to manage that.
