Was there any parent group that expressed concern about this? I'm sure I heard or read something about Parent groups might've taken issue with this. I know one thing, Courage The Cowardly Dog was quite disturbing.

the only thing that ever disturbed me was
a scene where either cat or dog (not sure) went in to the others mouth and climbed through, and ended up coming out their own mouth. that scared me for some reason, and i had nightmares about it.
but i'm not sure what else could be disturbing, i dont remember too much.
There's just a possibility that I will kiss a doorknob.

I thought it was gross at times but it was never as bad as Ren and Stimpy.

I remember the episode that really scared me as a kid was the one where there's some magic thing that changes you into different animals and CatDog keep changing or something. Don't know why, and don't actually remember the real plot, I just remember the one shot of them running along and changing as they go, and that scared me as a kid.
The answer: Yeah, it probably is too disturbing for kids. But that's what makes it good. ;)
Are you thinking of Dexter’s Laboratory? I don’t remember this happening in CatDog.
shareI know this is from 12 years ago, but this show always disturbed me WAY more than Courage The Cowardly Dog or Ren & Stimpy. You always hear these millennials saying how “terrifying” Courage was, yet nobody remembers how ugly or creepy Catdog was. Every character looks like a grotesque methed-up monster, and the soundtrack sounds like burping.
