Cham concert - females?

One thing interesting I noticed was at the Cham concert at the beginning of the film, every single audience member is male, but you can hear a definite mix of male and female voices. Also, maybe because in America teen girls love pop groups, but don't you think Cham would have attracted at least ONE female to their show? For anybody who knows Japanese culture, is this the norm (all males)?

I also like that Mima's mother sounds like a Texas ranch-hand in the English track.

I believe there are some female fans somewhere in the audience, just not featured enough.

As for Japanese culture: its not so much the group itself, but the pop idol image that attracts the guys. Unlike American pop music culture, theres no stigma attached to male pop idol fandom, so there are male fans of pop groups. Its pretty much along the lines of (or tied into) anime fanboy culture.

The audiences at a Britany Spears' concert are MOSTLY middle-aged men. I find this disturbing.

Really, I find it to be obvious.

English Language Anime: Dub it, don't pervert it.
