In this video essay, I decided to examine the effects of the male gaze theory as it applies to Charmed. Charmed was created by Constance M. Burge and was based on her own sisters. Around season 3, Brad Kern took over as showrunner and the show became a mockery of what it once was. This video examines what happens to a show when it goes from a show that is for women by women to a show that caters to the male audience by putting the actress’s on display.share
