The Oscars (FJ) (10/13) (spoilers).....

Last night's FJ was sort of a gimmie.

"This actor lost out for best actor, but won as best director, becoming the oldest person to win an Oscar at 72 years of age. "

(Or something like that.)

Immediately, I said, "It's gotta be Clint Eastwood!"

And, it was.

Of course, ALL THREE contestants show me up, and get it correct, too. 

Absolutely a gimme.

I think the clue tagged him at 74, and it was worded something like, "Oldest Oscar winner for best director."

The one that will be on today's episode looks hard

19TH CENTURY LITERATURE

THIS CHARACTER SAYS, "LET ME THEN TOW TO PIECES, WHILE STILL CHASING THEE, THOUGH TIED TO THEE"

I predict none of them will get it (unless one is a lit teacher)

If you don't read the newspaper you are uninformed. If you do...you are misinformed---Mark Twain

reply

Moby Dick?

reply

Or if its the character Captain Ahab?

reply

I've not read Moby Dick but I got it. "Chasing thee, tied to thee"--19 century lit--Ahab.

reply

Yes it seems easy now that I know the answer. Should have known.
