Did any contestant ever actually say Alex's name?

There is an internet sarcastic saying in response to someone else as if the one using it is playing Jep.
Like, "I'll take Captain Obvious for $200, Alex."
So did anyone on Jep. ever say the hosts name?
(No one online should use his name anymore since Trebek is dead which therefore makes it redundant.)

reply

It wouldn't be redundant to use his name. It would be inappropriate or inaccurate. As for his name, I believe contestants regularly called him by name.

reply

"I'll take 'Dictionary' for $200 Ken."

Redundant is no longer useful or needed.
Trebek is dead.
Therefore redundant.

reply

Your usage of the word redundant is incorrect.

Why am I not surprised that in 2024 even the dictionary definition of a word can be disputed? Apparently even adjectives are fluid now.

Yes.

reply

Hell…I’m so old I still say “I’ll take Captain Obvious for two-hundred ART.”

reply

funny! I never watched during the Art Fleming era!

reply

I'll take, "Jeopardy hosts who were before you and was never a sarcastic dick towards their contestants like Alex," Alex.

reply

Yes, there were often contestants who would repeat his name almost every time they replied to him. It was quite annoying.

reply

OK thanx.
