They all became cartoon characters as the show went on...fez wanted to sex up Melos, Donna was supposed to be hot, Eric was an idiot and his dad hated him..eat ect ect

I remember starting to dislike him around Season 6 or 7.
To be fair, though, with the sole exception of Red, I began to dislike pretty much every main character around that time.
A Superman without trunks isn't worth watching or reading about.
I disliked him but not strongly so. He just seemed like a wise arse that was never going to go far in life. Lots of boys have strong willed difficult fathers but that does not hold most boys back from being men.

For me, he was one of my favorites in the show. Always felt like Topher was one of the standouts with his timing and dryish humor. "Mmmm... Ba-con."
I didn't know that about the cast. I guess I haven't read my gossip papers. Interesting. I always liked his sense of humor. He reminded me of myself in high school.
shareIt's been said for years that Topher didn't really get along with the rest of the cast (or even really cared for the show), with the exception of Laura Prepon. Apparently him and Ashton didn't get along at all for a while because Topher felt like Ashton was trying to constantly one up him during filming. Over the years I've read little things like him not seeming to be interested to ever talk about the show for interviews, and leaving tapings as soon as they wrapped (he did it at the series finale taping as well.) The rumor became more prominent when E True Hollywood Story did an episode about them as it delves into why Topher left IIRC.
Whatever the case was, It seems they actually get along moreso now that the show is quite a ways behind them.
I liked him until near the end. In addition to his personality becoming less likable (bigger wuss than ever), he went from one of the youngest looking, to looking way older than the rest of the "kids".
shareI've heard about a rift between Topher and the rest as well, but not the bitchy, gossipy stuff. Simply that the rest of the cast liked to party and such and Topher was more of a lone wolf. That doesn't mean they disliked each other. Also, he didn't leave the show for any mean-spirited reason. He left to make Spiderman 3.
