There's a competition and I'd like to ask for your help. I have to write a long /6 pages!/essay comparing Hitchcock's original movie and this version of Rear window. What do you think about the remake? Which version do you prefer? Why?

Sorry I got here late... looks like you got a lot of help from the idiot data movie base faithful. I would have told you to set up two televisions and go scene by scene... have a note pad that denotes lighting, plot, scenery, pacing and over all feel and then look at other movies that both directors shot and note difference and the overall success of the films and the directors.
The truth is, Spielberg and Dustin Hoffman wouldn't have worked together on this project... Chris Reeves had no choice and I was glad for one to see him a last time.
How did the paper go?
Well aren't you a regular king arthur, galloping up to save the day... let the kid do his own godamn assignment. I used to have to write my essays with coal and goats-blood while walking through the snow barefoot.
