Happy 20th Anniversary
It's several days late but it's now been 20 years since Return of the King premiered on December 17th, 2003. The Critical Drinker on YouTube put out a nice retrospective video.

I was born in 1981 and as a Millenial he makes a good point how our generation didn't have our cultural touchstone to call our own until The Lord of The Rings Trilogy came along. It's one of those cinematic experiences I love to say I was there for from 2001-2003. I think of Titanic in a similar way since it was so big in 1997. I'll continue to watch the LOTR trilogy at Christmas as long as I'm around and it deserved every Oscar for that year.
