I was amazed and overjoyed to learn of the Comedy Central release of the first season of Strangers with Candy, my second favorite show of all time. That got me thinking about my first favorite show- UCB. Does anyone know if there are any plans to release the Comedy Central UCB shows on DVD?

Just heard today that season one is to be released on November 4. this came from the UCB themselves, so I'm sure it's legit.
shareI've been wondering this for a long time, I've almost brought myself to buying those VCD's on ebay with all 30 episodes and so on, but now with this news I won't have to do that and I get excellent quality with extra goodies. This settles it, God does exist and he likes seriously *beep* up sketch comedy.

I have also read on their web site that the UCB dvd will come out on November 4th, but i cant find it on any dvd coming soon web sites .... if anyone finds it let me know!

shareI hope they pull a Mr. Show + a Strangers With Candy. Meaning, I hope they put season 2 and 3 together on one set and they release it soon, like by February. I can deal without commentary, that gets annoying, I just want the episodes and maybe a few more live performances.
sharecommentary can get boring, but the commentary on UCB season one is just as funny as the episodes themselves. informative too. i always wondered where the names antoine colby trotter and adair came from. and besser is a total smart ass prick, which is often hilarious. i hope they release seasons two and three soon, but only for the commentary and extras, as i already have my own home made dvd of all three seasons on one disc. surprisingly, it is watchable, vhs quality, which is the best you will find, even on ebay. "but that's not legal!"

come on man, hook a brother up. I'm having withdrawls of UCB. It's been a long time since I've seen anything from season 2 and 3. I tried to start a game of Pro Thunderball in the park just to get a fix...14 people died! I thought that meant something to you. Anyways, do you think you could copy it and send it to me?
shareanyone who has all ucb episodes and better technology than myself, please share the wealth, make copies, put them out on ebay -- there's only like one person who puts homemade ucbs up and as a result they're incredibly expensive (upwards of fifty dollars). more copies = cheaper = more ucb for all!
