i recognized that too along time ago. It caught my attention when they did a Living Single marathon and showed the ep with Terrence after that they showed Morris' than like 2 eps later they showed Nia's than they showed Harold

But I dont remember Melissa Desousa

reply

Melissa DeSousa was Carmen, an employee at Flavor. She was minimally featured in two episodes.

reply

It's funny because all of them except Harold's character all appeared in season 1.

It may have something to do with the casting director Robi Reed Humes who casted this movie. She may have done some casting for Living Single or passed on names although it is not listed on here. I do know that she and Kim Fields' Mom Chip have a relationship and casted for the Bible Experience.

There were only so many Black Actors that were given a shot on TV shows back in the 90's. At one point or another, a huge majority of well known actors did an episode of either: The Cosby Show, A Different World, Fresh Prince, Living Single, Hanging with Mr Cooper, In Da House, Steve Harvey etc. Some even did multiple characters on a show IE) Nia Long in Fresh Prince.

@CDZ I was about to post the same thing, but you are so right. That is why I love 90s sitcoms especially the black sitcoms it was like they were kind of helping each other out and everyone get their start. Especially on In Living Color because of that show Jamie Foxx is a big actor, I know Jim Carrey isn't black but it made him a huge actor. Nia was a numerous episode of Fresh Prince that helped her out even more.

Great post OP about the cast from Best Man guest starring on Living Single I remember those episodes except for the one with the guy with the dreds.
