Why do men get easily aroused when there is an attractive woman around? In my point of view Harper (Taye diggs) could of just cuddled with Mia he didn't have to have sex with her. He really did deserve to get his A** beat for that. I mean come on that was suppose to be his buddy girlfriend how could he do that to Lance. Harper could of just cuddle ONLY!!!!! Do anyone know what I mean?I hope someone knows what I am saying.

Yeah, he did deserve the beatdown. He shouldn't have given into temptation, especially with his best friend girl. What I didn't like what that Lance should have confronted Mia too though and asked her about it instead just beating up on Harper.

I think some people are missing the point. Mia isn't going to take no from Harper. She wanted to get even with Lance, and so she's going to throw herself at Harper and do everything in her power to sleep with Harper. Not many guys are able to easily fend off a very attractive woman who is determined, and persistently trying to bed down with them ...
Thank you!! I get so tired of everybody putting everything that happened on Harper...with the exception of masturbation, sex takes two and Mia was a willing participant in what happened...everyone seems to forget that. She's just as guilty as Harper was.

No it's not right that Harper slept with his best friend's girlfriend but Lance is a HO too. Just like Quentin said, For all the times he did his dirt to Mia, he should think that she might step out on him once.
But regarding the cuddling, that would have been the proper thing for Harper to do yet he was being a good friend and gave Mia exactly what she wanted. LOL
The movie wouldn't have been as good. It was a good twist. Lance's cheating came back to him tenfold. I thought it was awesome.

But that was the way he (Harper) played it in his book. You can't go by on what he wrote to what you see on screen, he changed some things around to make it look like she planned it.
shareMia planned it all along, she cheated on Lance because she was tired of getting harassed by Lance's groupies and all the rumors about him so she wanted revenge. She purposely chose Harper because she felt he was partly responsible for her unhappiness because he is the one that hooked them up even though he knew Lance slept around alot. As far as their marriage goes, I believe it will work because Lance had finally settled down and said that marriage will end his promisicuous ways. Although this would seem far-fetched in real life, the film made you to believe that he was sincere. He didn't say anything because he told Harper in the bathroom that if he found out she cheated, he wouldn't even question her about it, he just thanked God that she forgave him for all his indiscretions.
shareAlso, let's just be honest about the situation, Mia was a beautiful woman and a woman like that could seduce almost any man she wanted to. Also, when Jordan asked Mia about it, she said he gave her what she wanted, what she needed, and that he was a perfect gentleman. That shows that she approached and seduced him.

Because he was thinking with his little head instead of his big head :) I often wondered why Lance didn't confront Mia as well; perhaps, because he had done so much dirt, he felt as though she had the right to step out on him (he says that he always knew she had but never thought with Harper). In "real life" the wedding would have been called off and Harper and Lance's friendship would have come to a close.
