One of the most violent movies ever.

Anybody else agree?

reply

You are correct, sir. A hard, ultraviolent, R-rated flick.

Watch the last 12 minutes of the movie Rambo (2008) and be enlightened.

Go ahead... watch it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aL39jJN9hHM

Watch Cannibal Holocaust and come back here to update me on your "most violent movie ever" list.

"Do you expect me to talk?..."

reply

I said "one of" meaning this would be top 10 or 20.

reply

as far as action movies go, yeah pretty violent. it wouldn't be in the top 10 but close.

more violent then the first, head shots this time too. bloody squibs and such, a body explodes.

would love for the 3rd to be more violent, like Django Unchained violent!

reply

watch Sabotage. that makes Bad Boys 2 look like a PG 13 film. arnold swarzanagger is great in that film. anyways. bad boys is a violent film for an action comedy Michael Bay film.

reply

I just watched it again this week, and i didn't remember that this action comedy were so violent. I think it's Bay's most violent movie to date.

reply

It might be Michael Bay's most violent but the original Red Dawn and the original Mad Max 2: The Road warrior were much more violent.

Funnily enough I've only just watched this sequel for the first time, having seen the first Bad Boys a number of years ago. I was slightly shocked by the level of violence, but even more shocked by the level of PROFANITY in this action comedy. I do remember there being a bit of swearing in the 1st, but not as much as this surely.

reply

It wouldn't be even in the top 100 most violent films ever.

There are SO MANY non-mainstream films that are so much more violent than this. The fact anyone could think it is in the top 10 is laughable.

There are plenty of low budget, non mainstream films, especiall European, South American and Asian films that make BB2 look tame. BB2 is violent for a MAINSTREAM HOLLYWOOD movie, but that doesn't mean much.

I mean, just a short list of films that are far more violent:
-Hostel (1 and 2)
-The entire Saw series
-A Serbian Film (this one is seriously messed up)
-Cannibal Holocaust
-Platoon
-I Spit on Your Grave
-Battle Royale
-The Hills Have Eyes
-Sin Nobre
-City of God
-Human Centipede 1, 2 and especially 3
-Evil Dead
-Flowers of Flesh and Blood (this was a Japanese horror film that was so full on the FBI investigated it's distribution in America because they thought it was a real 'snuff' film)
-Audition
-Ichi the Killer
-American History X
-Red Room
-Men Behind the Sun (this one is about as bad as it gets)

There are also dozens, if not hundreds more Japanese horror films that are all 'torture/gore' themed horror films, similar to Saw and Hostel but way more brutal.

reply

There's just a few films I agree that you've listed as more violent. American History X more violent than BB2? Come on!

reply

Not so much violent, as a noisy, frenetically paced shootfest. The violence is pretty cartoon - like.🐭

reply

One film I couldn't get through because of too much violence, blood and gore was Machine Girl.

reply

When did everyone become pansies? Pull your skirts up, ladies. It's only a film.

reply

I don't see anyone complaining or whining (or being "pansies" as you put it) about the level of violence in the film. Looks to me like everyone is just making observations on the violence and comparing it to that of other films.

reply

Well, when there's a R rating sticker on the blue ray box which specifically states this film may contain violence and sex (I'm paraphrasing here), it doesn't need observation. It informs you of said violence before you even buy the movie, genius. I'm sure your parents considers you "Special". You my friend are handi-capable.
