Can someone who lives in Miami answer...

I just wanted to know if it's as good as it looks to live there. The city looks absolutely beautiful. To walk outside everyday and see palm trees and half naked women year-round. I imagine it's something that lifts the mood.

Anyone want to shed light? Thanks in advance.

Don´t live there and you don´t have to live there to get your answer. But i been there many times.. And yeah, if you have the cash to buy a central condo on South Beach or up in Fort Lauderdale you can have this lifestyle.

Miami's a dirty place, it's the second grimiest city after Las Vegas, the second most superficial city after LA, the second most corrupt city after New Orleans, and according to Parents magazine a couple years ago, the second worst city to raise kids after Detroit. It's one of the places like LA that's a playground for the rich and famous, but Hell for the so-called middle class!

i actually agree to that..

I live in LA. and couldn't disagree more. Im sure you got your information from a quick google search but how about you go and live in the cities you state before speaking. Every major city has its problems of crime etc. LA is no different. Superficial? parts of the city.. yes but you cannot classify an entire city of over 3 million people as superficial.

We all know what happens when you assume, u make an a$$ out of u and me. For the record I have lived in 3 of the above mentioned cities, including LA

reply

Exactly. I lived in L.A. half my life and unlike every major city, you have your "rough areas". It all depends on where you decide to reside. I visited Pompano Beach in Miami and it was beautiful. I loved it but the only thing that keeps me from moving down there are The 1st 48 episodes I watch. Seems like almost 50% of their episodes are based in the Miami area.

I was born and raised in Miami and still live in South Florida. The locations depicted in this movies are real, very beautiful, & are great to visit HOWEVER you have to be filthy rich to afford to actually live here. The cost of living is ridiculous especially for the small amount of land you get. Actually living here and not being a millionaire means living in the "other" parts of Miami. Every city has other parts and I leave the details to your imagination.

^^Haha! He speaks the truth. I was born and raised in Miami Gardens before moving to Maryland. As others have said, certain areas are EXTREMELY expensive.

Which part of Miami? Remember the house that Martin Lawrence lives in (for no explicable reason) would be in the $10-15 million range. If you can afford to live in that area, yes, it is VERY nice.

The rest... not so much.
