This was my favorite part of the movie.

Will Smith kills it.

"What you want ******?"
"How old is you? Sh*t ******, you at least 30."
"You ever make love to a man? You want to?"

Have you heard the story behind that scene? That kid was genuinely scared! From the trivia section:

"When Dennis Greene, who played Reggie, showed up for shooting, he was told by Martin Lawrence's bouncer that he mustn't look into Lawrence's eyes or talk to him, and Lawrence himself was subsequently nasty to him. It was all a ploy arranged by Michael Bay who wanted the boy to be genuinely scared of Lawrence. Greene also wasn't told about the gun that he would be threatened with."

reply

haha ya i actually remember reading that a long time ago. "Let the gun go off!" hahahahah!

Oh my god, while I liked the original film a LOT more I can not think of one scene from the first that could even compare to this one...it was comedy gold.

reply

yup comedy at it's finest

Thanks for telling me about this. Stops me watching the rest of this pile of excrement if this is the best scene ever. (I doubt if it is the best scene ever in the history of films, there were a couple in The Terminator that were better, and at least one in Hot Fuzz)

Agreed. That scene and the whole movie is a mess. I was still waiting for some sort of story but then I remembered that it's a Michael Bay film. He showed so much promise with Bad Boys and The Rock and then he just started making rubbish films. Armageddon was ok, Bruce Willis dying at the end was a brilliant decision that turned an average film into a good film. The rest of his films are just boring. I love action movies but it gets boring watching a 2 and a half hour long shootout.

I liked this particular scene too, but there is one scene with the very very great camerashots, with the shootout in the house of the haitian drugdealer.
Look very good, and see how the camera moves, it`s stunning.
