Now I know why it took me so long to watch this

I had seen bits and pieces, most of the film. I always liked the story but just never seemed that interesting to me. There was just so much junk in this film.

The time they were at the creek and they try to act like he was a pedophile or whatever. I knew he was a guy full of crap. How many times can you be at the wrong place at the wrong time and come up with some ridiculous story? From that scene it was just a joke.

Claiming that it was racism and a framing from some cop who didn't like you I don't believe it. The cop knew you because you were a troublemaker kid causing trouble. The whole neighborhood was full of trouble, no cop had to search out this guy for no reason.

I just feel he was 100% guilty and for that I don't really care for the movie that much. They basically probed that there wasn't enough evidence to convict him and that it was built on racism (racist jury).

was there enough evidence? no, it doesn't seem so. you need a lot to convict on a murder charge. So whatever I wasn't really impressed. I mean when I'm watching a movie and I still think you're guilty then that's pretty bad. Then I look up to read the real story since it all seems full of bs and it turns out everyones saying the same thing.

And I like all movies The Blind Side, Coach Carter, Lean On Me, those are all great movies. Not like I think he's guilty just because he's a black guy. i do think its a possibility he wasn't the gunman or could've been framed altogether. Just seems like there was a lot of evidence against him but just not enough that he should have to spend the rest of his life in prison. They didn't do all they needed to do to get a conviction. It probably was easier to convict a black with an all white jury too so they didn't need it and he got them for that.

The movie fudges so much facts and bends over backwards to make Rubin Carter seem like the most innocent little snowflake in the world that the movie almost comes off as propaganda.

Like the reason Rubin was arrested as a child being because he defended his friend and himself from an evil white pedophile? Pure bullcrap.

Rubin Carter himself never even claimed such a thing.
