Did Tom Cruise's character really need to get mad at that lady interviewer?

Including calling her a b*tch and threatening her because she was just doing her job whilst trying to get to the bottom of what really happened?

I understand that he probably didn't want the whole family matter to get out the way it did but still...

In his situation, if I was in his shoes, I would've calmly exclaimed "Sorry I don't want to talk about it" or walk out if it was getting personal, but he's like teasing her with "I'm not sure I hear a question here" and then gets rude with "What is your f*cking question" and then sits quietly for the whole interviewer but then he insults her with "b*tch" and "f*ck off" and then almost hits her physically, like, that's not very nice, is it?

Cheers.

reply

Because he was trying to hide his family history which was none of her business and she kept prying.

reply

Even so, is that reason enough to start to attack her that way and call her names?

reply

I mean, she's bringing up his dead mother and his father being a deadbeat.

reply

You think what he did was okay? He lied to a journalist, which is not a crime; but neither is there anything wrong with the journalist calling him out for lying (very gently, btw, more gently than I would have).

reply

Given his character in the film is a misogynist, I don't see why he wouldn't get upset.

reply

Sure, I agree. I thought from your comment you were justifying his actions.

reply

That's his character. If he were a nicer person, such as yourself, he probably would have been more polite. But he is an angry, narcissist who sees woman only as sex objects that are beneath him and need to be dominated.

reply

"such as yourself"
Aw shucks )

reply

😊 I hope my reply made sense and maybe answered your question.

reply

Yes it has.
