I know it's far from a masterpiece of even a great movie... but when I see a review in the newspaper giving it a 1/5. That's just wrong. It really isn't that bad.
Maybe it's just me, I like the movie, it's quite fun and it doesn't have that many dull moments.

I do watch it a lot as to background noise while am doing my arty and cleaning things as adore cars and motorbikes :)

I agree 100%. I don't get all the hate on this film. I'm certainly not saying it's Oscar-worthy, but at the same time it's nowhere near a 1/5 star movie. I mean, that's putting it down there with crap like "Freddy Get Fingered" and all sorts of garbage.
shareI saw it in the theater when it was out. I was disappointed, since it was a very hyped movie and the cast was very strong. Oscar winners, up and comers, Nic Cage and Angelina. I think the problem was that the film just didn't live up to the cast and the hype.
I love cars, I loved the late 90s/early 2000s, I love racing, and I really like team heist films. This movie hit the sweet spot. Sure, it's not a masterpiece, but I find it a lot of fun. For me, that's enough. :)
