'Boosting' cars???
What are they always talking about boosting cars? What does that even mean? Does it refer to a turbo booster or something?

Boosting is a slang word meaning theft. When they say, "Boosting cars." They're talking about stealing them which would make sense considering that is the pretty much the theme of the film, car theft.
