if Gone in 60 had the big car action franchise instead of Fast&Furious

wed be on Gone Part 9 (#G9) now with Cage still a major player in cinema land (the success of the 'Gone' films bankrolling other cinema release movies he wanted to do inbetween Gones like Vin with xXxs, Riddicks, Witch Hunter, Bloodsport etc - most of which would never have seen the inside of a theatre were it not for the success of the Fast films) Jolie would be the Letty of the franchise but more an equal with Cage than Michelle Rodriguez is with Vin (becoming the major star of the franchise starring in a spin offs 'Sway & Sphinx'), Vinnie Jones as the Jason Statham of the series (but there from the start) and the rest Duvall, Patton, Lindo (in the Hobbs role), Cann, Ribisi would be there for each progressively bigger sequel too.. and the big Fast names like The Rock, Statham (imagine the inevitable face off with Vinnie), Charlize etc wouldve been lining up to play villains (plus maybe the likes of Travolta)

i guess if Fast had wanted some extra cult cool they couldve brought in Cage and Jolie as their Gone characters (but then i guess no one beyond a few old movie buffs would get it)

Gone in 60 Seconds seems like an original version of Fast Five to be honest. It would be nice to have a crossover film where Memphis' crew has to go undercover to stop Dominic's crew.

That's actually something I wouldn't mind seeing.

I am not a fan of the fast franchise. I do enjoy this movie a lot. I think they for sure could have made this a trilogy at least. Been like an Ocean's 11 for car theft. Had a solid cast, could keep add a few or subtract some as movies past.
